In view of the recent Novel Coronavirus outbreak that has been widely reported in the media and alerts have been issued by the World Health Organisation (WHO) , Liberty Insurance Berhad is classifying this event as known and foreseen effective 23rd January 2020.

Therefore, any damages or losses claims arising from the situation in connection with the Novel Coronavirus outbreak for policy purchase on or after 23rd January 2020 will not be covered.

Travellers who purchased or confirmed travel insurance policy on or after 23rd January 2020 will not be covered as the Novel Coronavirus outbreak would not be considered ‘unforeseeable’.
