Waiver of police report requirement for flood damage claims on vehicles affected by floods event in Johor in March 2025

If your vehicle was damaged by the massive floods in Johor, you are not required to submit a police report when filing a claim under the Motor Special Perils policy or Flood Relief Allowance. 

You may submit clear photographs of the damage that show your vehicle's registration number at the location of the flood.

Please be informed that Ombudsman for Financial Services (OFS) is now known as Financial Markets Ombudsman Service (FMOS). The Financial Markets Ombudsman Service (FMOS) was established on 1 January 2025, arising from the consolidation between the Ombudsman for Financial Services (OFS) and the Securities Industry Dispute Resolution Center (SIDREC).
 
FMOS is appointed by Bank Negara Malaysia and the Securities Commission Malaysia to provide an independent, fair, and free dispute resolution service of financial consumers and investors who are unable to resolve their financial complaints with financial service providers or capital market intermediaries.
